modern oral products

Oral products are popular in Sweden, Norway and America. Some pouches contain tobacco, while others deliver nicotine without tobacco.

Our modern oral products, Lyft and EPOK, provide further potentially reduced-risk options for consumers.

What is Lyft made from?

Lyft is an innovative tobacco-free oral product which contains nicotine. It is white in colour and comes in pouches which contain high-quality food-grade ingredients including naturally derived nicotine, water, eucalyptus and pine tree fibres, flavouring and sweeteners.

How does Lyft work?

Consumers place the pouch between their gum and upper lip, typically for 30 to 40 minutes, after which the pouch is disposed of in the designated compartment in the lid of the can. During use, nicotine and flavours are released and the nicotine is absorbed through the oral mucosa in the gum.

What is EPOK made from?

EPOK is an oral tobacco product. It is white in colour and comes in pouches which contain white tobacco, guar gum, pine and eucalyptus cellulose (microcrystalline cellulose), flavouring and nicotine derived from tobacco leaves.

How is EPOK tobacco whitened?

The brown tobacco is cleaned through a water-based cleaning process. Plant fibres from Scandinavian pine trees and eucalyptus are added, and flavour ingredients are mixed into the product. Consumers place the pouch between the gum and upper lip, often for around 25 minutes. When the consumer has finished with the pouch, they remove it and place it in the EPOK tin’s waste compartment.
